What to Expect
Prior to Kybella® treatment, patients receive a local anesthetic to numb the affected area. Kybella® will be injected into multiple points under the chin to evenly distribute the medication.
The fat cells are destroyed within minutes; however, the area will be swollen as the body resorbs and eliminates the fat over the course of up to a month.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of Kybella® include: swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of firmness in the treatment area. At Apex Dermatology, only licensed staff perform the procedure.
