Brilliantly different:
Clear + Brilliant® gets results without the recovery and downtime
When old, dead, damaged cells build up on the surface of the skin, we can look tired, “aged,” and less radiant than we feel or once did. Fortunately, Apex Dermatology has a suite of lasers to remove dead skin cells and promote fresh ones that also support glowing, healthy, smooth, and soft skin. These laser therapies for resurfacing include the Clear + Brilliant® system.
What is Clear + Brilliant®?
Clear + Brilliant® safely, non-surgically, and non-invasively enhances tone and texture and provides a luminous and youthful “glow” to your skin.
What makes Clear + Brilliant® different from other lasers?
Developed by Solta Medical, the same team behind the innovative Fraxel® DUAL fractional laser therapy, Clear + Brilliant® stimulates deep changes within the skin. It renews collagen production to soften acne scars, erase pigment problems, correct sun damage, and eliminate fine lines; however, it is engineered with special features to support utmost comfort and precise treatment. Notably, the system includes proprietary smart-tip technology and targeted energy delivery to ensure consistent and predictable results with little to no downtime.
So, what can I expect from treatment?
All it takes to transform your skin may be a relatively quick single treatment session or a series of treatments to be advised by your Apex clinician. As with all laser treatments, it is advised to stop taking topical retinoids for at least one week before your procedure or at least to hold from using it the week after treatment. If Clear + Brilliant® is suitable for you, a numbing cream is applied directly to the treatment area for 20-30 minutes prior to activating the laser to support your ultimate comfort. During treatment, we gently glide the laser handpiece across areas of concern. Its patented Intelligent Optical Tracking™ System helps to ensure proper contact and uniform application of the powerful laser energy is maintained throughout treatment.
And what can I expect afterward?
Your skin will feel softer and look smoother and more radiant. With the Original handpiece for collagen remodeling, you may also notice mild swelling and red discoloration of the treated area, both of which usually subside in around 12 hours. Over the next few days, as the natural renewal process occurs, your skin may be a little more itchy, sandpapery, and feeling sensitive to both touch and temperature. Again, these are normal and temporary responses. If the Permea handpiece for pigment remodeling, precancer reduction and texture improvement is used, you may have little coffee grounds coming off the face for 2-4 days.
How many treatments will I need?
Clear + Brilliant® is a highly customizable procedure. Total treatment sessions depend on everything from your specific skin needs to your goals. In general, the makers of this laser report that many patients achieved visible improvement after four to six sessions. They are also commonly incorporated into routine skincare regimens. Regular, ongoing treatments deliver lasting results. So, think of it as a refreshing addition and complement to your beauty and self-care routine, similar to a facial, massage, or trip to the salon.
