Dr. Harp earned both her medical degree and her Dermatology residency training at the distinguished University of Washington School of Medicine, where her accomplishments earned her induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society — the highest academic honor in medicine, awarded to fewer than 6% of medical school graduates. She is a Mohs-trained skin cancer surgeon and was awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Dermatology Training Grant for her research. Before relocating to California, she served as the Facility Medical Director of the Department of Dermatology for a major medical center in Washington State. Her depth of training means that whether you are coming in for a cosmetic concern, a suspicious mole, or a chronic skin condition, you will receive expert, evidence-based care.

Aria Vazirnia, MD, FAAD, FASDS
“Dr. Aria” is a board-certified medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologist and Harvard-trained laser & cosmetic dermatologist. He enjoys performing minimal down-time treatments with the goal of providing natural-appearing results and enhancing his patients’ natural beauty and health.
A native of southern California, Dr. Aria attended UCLA and completed his medical education at UC San Diego School of Medicine as well as a concurrent master’s degree in clinical research. During medical school, he authored numerous medical journal articles and textbook chapters. Dr. Aria completed his dermatology residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine and was elected at that time to the board of the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery as well as the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. Following residency, Dr. Aria completed a rigorous laser and cosmetic dermatology fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine in Boston – where the majority of laser technologies and cosmetic treatments are invented.
Dr. Aria is a fellowship-trained expert in minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures, including laser procedures (facial rejuvenation, sunspots, red blood vessel reduction, acne scars, surgical scars, and hair removal), body contouring, microneedling, injectables, and PRP (platelet rich plasma) for hair loss. Dr. Aria has also trained extensively in the fields of medical and surgical dermatology, treating a variety of skin conditions, such as skin cancer, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, suspicious moles, and more.
In his free time, Dr. Aria enjoys writing music for piano and guitar, playing tennis, trying new foods, and spending quality time with his family and friends.In his spare time.

Joelle Lee, DO, FAAD
Dr. Lee is a board-certified dermatologist who is thrilled to return to Ventura County, caring for the community where she was born and raised. She believes in treating every patient with warmth, compassion, and a holistic approach that considers both skin health and overall well-being. After earning her undergraduate degree at UCLA, she completed a Master’s in Public Health at SUNY Downstate, focusing on public health policy. She then earned her medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California and went on to complete a research year at UC Davis focusing on integrative medicine in dermatology.
Her dermatology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York gave her the unique opportunity to treat an incredibly diverse patient population. She gained extensive experience in caring for conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hidradenitis suppurativa, hair loss and nail disorders, skin cancer detection and more. She is skilled in cosmetic dermatology and has a keen aesthetic eye for enhancing one’s natural beauty. She is also highly trained in surgical procedures, including the removal of skin cancers, moles, cysts and earlobe repairs. During residency, she served as Chief Resident, published multiple research articles, and presented her work at national dermatology conferences.
Now back home, Dr. Lee is committed to helping her patients feel confident and healthy in their skin. She loves getting to know each person’s story and tailoring treatments to their unique needs. When she’s not in the office, you can find her traveling, practicing yoga or pilates, surfing, snowboarding, attending concerts, and spending time with her husband and their two young children.

Nikki Tang, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Nikki Tang, MD, FAAD, FACMS (“Dr. Tang”) is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. At Apex Dermatology, Dr. Tang specializes in the surgical treatment and management of skin cancers such as melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma through wide local excision, Mohs micrographic surgery, and complex reconstruction, including skin flaps and grafts. Her goal is threefold: to provide surgical care with compassion and excellence, minimize scarring, and provide the highest cure rates possible.
Dr. Tang attended Brown University for both her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and her Doctorate in Medicine. Her dermatology residency and fellowship were completed in New York City at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Tang’s fellowship was an intensive and highly selective 1-year program providing training in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology. She specializes in complex wound reconstruction, rare tumor pathology, and difficult tumor locations. Her training program is amongst a limited number of programs that are approved by both the Accreditation Council Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and The American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS).
After finishing her training, Dr. Tang joined the faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she was the Director of Cutaneous Surgery and Oncology. In addition, she was the Assistant Program Director for the dermatology residency program, where she oversaw the surgical training of the dermatology residents. While in academics, she lectured nationally and authored multiple publications on a variety of topics relating to cutaneous surgery.
Dr. Tang is also board-certified in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. In addition, she is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), whose membership is only granted to Mohs surgeons who have completed an approved 1-2 year advanced fellowship. She has treated over 5000 skin cancers with Mohs and reconstructive surgery.
Her passions outside of treating skin cancer include fishing, diving, travel, skiing, music, and enjoying the great outdoors!

Sherri Anderson, MSHS, PA-C
Sherri completed her Master of Science at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is licensed by the State of California and board-certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. Sherri holds memberships with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the California Dermatology PA Society.
Sherri brings over 15 years of extensive clinical experience to Apex Dermatology with specialized training in dermatology, plastic surgery, facial trauma, and emergency medicine. She is highly knowledgeable in a broad range of services to treat a multitude of medical dermatological conditions. Her skilled hands, warm manner, and aesthetic talents provide natural results with cosmetic procedures. Sherri believes that every patient deserves a personalized skin care plan to help them look and feel their best. She is always thoughtful and delves deep when problem-solving and has a great way of making each patient feel valued and attended to.
Sherri moved to Southern California with her husband and four children after spending two years as a PA abroad. In addition to her work at Apex Dermatology, she has been involved in overall healthcare on the African continent. She loves to travel and spend time with her family, attending their various plays, sporting events, and musical performances.

Mary Hanna MSN, NP-BC
Mary Hanna, NP-BC, earned her Master of Science degree as a Nurse Practitioner at Harvard’s prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA, before she moved to Los Angeles in 2017. Mary is a licensed nurse practitioner in California and is nationally board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
While pursuing her graduate degree, Mary was selected for the highly coveted Dermatology clinical rotation at Boston Medical Center (BMC). By the end of her time at BMC, she had fallen in love with Dermatology. Mary loves how Dermatology eloquently brings together the science of medical knowledge and the artistry of cosmetic dermatology.
Prior to joining Apex Dermatology, Mary had vast experience in laser resurfacing, body contouring, skin tightening, and injectable treatments. Whether she’s providing medical or aesthetic dermatologic care, she takes the time to educate her patients so they feel empowered in their own healthcare, positively impacting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Patients appreciate how well she understands and values her ability to provide excellent service to the Apex community near and far.
Mary enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, boxing, and binge-watching her favorite TV shows.

Alexandra Woodruff, MPAS, PA-C
Alex completed her Master’s of Science degree at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Alex holds memberships with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the California Dermatology PA Society.
Alex has been drawn to dermatology since high school when she struggled with hormonal acne. She found comfort in a welcoming dermatology office and a personalized plan designed to manage her acne and boost her self-confidence, and she knew that she wanted to pay that forward to others suffering from skin ailments.
Since 2016, Alex has brought that passion to solving medical skin dilemmas, providing resolution of classic skin conditions such as skin cancers, psoriasis, eczema, and acne, as well as a focus on how metabolic health correlates to disease presentation on the skin. In her cosmetic work, she works with injectables like Botox as well as laser treatments for tightening and lifting. Alex provides warm, thorough, compassionate care, whether it be in the medical, surgical, or cosmetic services she provides.
In her free time, Alex likes to run, hike, and spend time with her film composer husband and their expanding family.

Kristin Rupert, PA-C
Kristin Rupert, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Apex Dermatology in Westlake Village, California. She’s inspired by a “look good, feel good” philosophy to provide each patient with dedicated, personalized skin care to help them age gracefully. Beyond administering a range of dermatologic treatments for skin diseases, spots, and scars, Kristin enjoys educating her patients about preventive care that they can do at home.
Kristen earned both her master’s degree in public health and her masters of science in physician assistant studies at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is licensed by the state of California and board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She holds memberships with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants.
When Kristen isn’t in the office counseling patients about skin care and providing top-of-the-line cosmetic and dermatologic treatments, she loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and extended family. Her hobbies include crafting, painting, reading, and traveling.

Lani Keene, LE
A licensed aesthetician since 1998, Lani has been trained in both medical and holistic skin care. She achieves great results tailored to each individual patient’s skin type, and patients love her gentle hand and wonderful personality. If you have sunspots, acne, fine lines, or just want to look refreshed for date night or a job interview, Lani will bring out your best.

Zoe Andrews, LE
Zoe, as a licensed aesthetician, loves helping people to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. After years of dealing with cystic acne herself, she was motivated to learn about skin health and wellness and her passion for aesthetics bloomed from there. Her favorite treatments to provide for patients are acne facials, chemical peels and Hydrafacials to help them look and feel their best. In her free time, she enjoys strength training and spending time with her fiancé’ and puppy.
