Are you still struggling to lose those last few inches of stubborn body fat? Even with good diet and exercise, the shape or tone of certain areas can be a challenge. TruSculpt® iD is a single noninvasive procedure that can help reveal your best self. At Apex Dermatology of Westlake Village, California, we offer truSculpt iD and other body contouring services to nonsurgically transform your shape into a leaner you.
Unlike other body sculpting procedures, truSculpt iD provides effective results for patients even with a higher body mass index (BMI). Other procedures haven’t been recommended for fuller-figured people. TruSculpt iD is the first body sculpting treatment on the market available to people with a BMI of 30 or above and is highly effective for those with a BMI lower than 30. If you don’t appreciate a certain bulge or area of laxity, we can help.
The treatment works by targeting stubborn fat cells with radiofrequency (RF) energy. At Apex Dermatology, we can target each zone with up to six applicators in a 15-minute treatment. We can also perform other treatments at the same time, so you can double up on therapies as desired. A full abdomen treatment is 15 minutes. Bra bulge and muffin tops take 15 minutes. We can even treat the backs of your arms or inner and outer thighs or tops of knees. Your first session of truSculpt iD can reduce your unwanted fat layers by an average of 24%. Additional treatments can be used to completely realize your aesthetic personal goals.
For about 12 weeks after treatment, your body naturally eliminates the destroyed fat cells, gradually reducing your unwanted body fat. The RF energy exposure during treatment also safely stimulates your skin’s surface, boosting your collagen production to tighten your skin. Techniques that freeze fat do not build collagen or tighten skin. In the weeks after treatment, the new collagen stimulated by your truSculpt iD treatment more rapidly helps your silhouette become more toned and sculpted. Additional treatments can be done 6-12 weeks after each comfortable session.
Different from other popular body-sculpting treatments like CoolSculpting®, truSculpt iD doesn’t involve any uncomfortable numbing of your skin. During treatments, we use applicators to safely heat up the fat cells underneath your skin. The truSculpt iD technology delivers an even amount of heat to your subcutaneous fat layer without overheating the surface of your skin, so we can effectively minimize your discomfort.
Treatments typically are quick and feel like getting a hot stone massage, so you don’t need to worry about experiencing discomfort. Apart from a little redness and sensitivity right after your appointment, you shouldn’t have any other side effects. You can go right back to work or pick up your daily life without any inconvenient post-treatment downtime.
If you’re ready to experience the transformation of truSculpt iD, schedule an appointment with a member of the Apex Dermatology team. Lead by dermatologist Karin Harp, MD, FAAD, FASDS, and featuring Kristin Rupert PA-C, Eva Hurst PA-C, and Lani Keene LME.
