The end of a calendar year can turn your thoughts to your age. Why not think about your anti-aging plans, instead?
At Apex Dermatology of Westlake Village, California, Karin Harp, MD, FAAD, Aria Vazirnia, MD, FAAD and their expert care team can work with you on your anti-aging agenda, whether you’re looking for rejuvenation or “prejuvenation.”
Even if you’re only in your 30s, 2021 isn’t too soon to start with light-handed, natural-looking anti-aging cosmetic treatments. Here’s what you should know about your anti-aging options at Apex Dermatology this Winter, including a range of dermal fillers and Botox® or Jeuveau® treatments for fine lines and wrinkles.
Your skin naturally loses elasticity and fullness as you age. We lose muscle, fat, and bone volume over time. With these gradual changes and decreased elasticity, your skin can start to sit more closely to your skull, giving you an older, more haggard appearance. Your cheeks can start to appear hollowed out, the jawline less crisp and your lips thin.
To restore and preserve the youthful fullness of your face, use targeted dermal fillers. These non-permanent injectables round out areas of your face like your cheeks, chin or lips. The gel-like fillers sit below or within the surface of your skin, and will eventually dissolve, returning your face to its pre-treatment appearance without follow-up visits.
At Apex Dermatology, we offer multiple different types of hyaluronic acid fillers to fully address your cosmetic and anti-aging goals. Some options include:
Tired of seeing lines and wrinkles between your eyebrows, on your forehead, or around the corners of your eyes and mouth? Dr. Harp, Dr. Aria and their team can help with that!
At Apex Dermatology, we use safe, targeted injections of Botox or Jeuveau® to smooth lines and wrinkles in your face, visibly turning back the clock on your age. Here’s how it works: Botox and Jeuveau® interfere with the communication between your facial muscles and your brain, preventing the facial contractions that show your lines and wrinkles.
Your Botox and Jeuveau® injections are derived from the botulinum toxin, but you don’t need to worry about toxic side effects from this common cosmetic procedure. We use a safe, low dose for your injections. And, after just a slight needle prick, you won’t feel pain during the procedure.
Your results can last for 2-4 months, depending on dosing and your individual qualities, and will eventually wear off. You’ll want repeated treatments to maintain your anti-aging results. Use Botox and Jeuveau® for prejuvenation treatments starting in your 30s or before to lessen the formation of deep wrinkles and worry lines.
