Can Kybella Be Used Anywhere?

Once you’ve mostly attained your weight loss goals, you might still feel dissatisfied with the contours or shape of your face and body. Many people retain stubborn areas of body fat, making it harder to enjoy your weight loss results.

At Apex Dermatology, Dr. Karin Harp, MD, FAAD, FASDS, Dr. Aria Vazirnia MD, MAS, FAAD, Kristin Rupert PA-C, Mary Hanna MSN, NP-BC, Riley McCarthy RN, Lani Keene LE provide facial and aesthetic contouring expertise.

Right now, we’re spotlighting Kybella® fat melting treatments for our patients at our Westlake Village, California location. Kybella injections are FDA-approved to reduce the appearance of a double-chin. And, additional uses for this fat melting injection are still coming to light.

How Kybella works

Kybella injections target the fat cells in a specific treatment area. Your injection contains synthesized deoxychoic acid that causes breakdown in your fat cells. After treatment, fat cells can no longer store fat.

Your surrounding tissues aren’t affected by Kybella. And, your results are permanent. After being destroyed, your fat cells in the treatment area won’t regrow!

You may need multiple Kybella injection treatment sessions spaced safely apart in order to attain your ideal aesthetic and body contouring results. It takes about a month after a treatment session for your body to reabsorb destroyed fat cells and your full results to appear.

Kybella for double chins – and more

Kybella is specifically formulated to target fat deposits that create a double chin. If you’re bothered by the way your chin and neck appear, Kybella could be the best option to address this common problem area.

Kybella injections offer you a totally non-surgical way to transform the shape of your face, giving you a more “snatched” appearance. Dealing with a double chin can also help you look younger and more fresh-faced.

And, Kybella injections have the same fat melting results in treatment areas around your body, as well. Stubborn fat deposits can happen anywhere, after all! Some patients benefit from Kybella to address fat cells in locations like the elbows, upper arms, knees, and stomach.

If you want to address a larger treatment area, Kybella might not be your best bet. But, you have other treatment options available at Apex Dermatology! With our support, you can address aesthetic problem areas and gain confidence in your appearance.

Your personalized aesthetic improvement plan

At Apex Dermatology, we work with our patients to put together comprehensive aesthetic treatment plans, taking factors into account like your desired post-treatment contours, recovery time needs, and the right combination of treatments and therapies for your health and lifestyle.
